The elusive zeppelin krill.
He writes: "An unusual specimen from the northern forests of New England and New York. It has an unusual respiratory system that allows it to float idly.""A scavenger/carnivore it stuns prey with dozens of tiny jelly-fish like stingers located on the feeding fronds (the multiple tentacle arms on the belly of the specimen) before landing and feeding with a sturdy squid-like beak. This beak is ringed with feeding tentacles that secrete a digestive acid to aid in feeding."
"Along the back of the specimen are located vents to control its flight and the air-sacs with which it floats. Also note the unusually bright colors of the carapace, tentacles and tail feathers. Clearly an adaptation warning predators of the creature's toxicity."
We of N. Tep Enterprises love when we get zoological samples! This specimen is about 12cm tall, 4cm wide, 14cm long at the longest fronds.
Awww!! What a cutie~ Let me know if you ever get a live specimen? I'd love to keep one in the dormitories.
